5 Tips to strengthen your Marketing Plan Process
#1 Know where you want to go
If you don't have a goal in mind for your business, don't even
start marching. Without this 'guiding light' all your marketing
efforts will be disjointed and uncoordinated.
#2 Leverage your strengths
Every business has its strengths. A specialization, an employee,
a machine. Whatever the strength is, capitalize on it. It's what
got you to where you are today.
#3 Identify your problems
A marketing plan is really a problem solving
exercise. Identify your problems first & then
set the marketing plan around solving these
problems.
#4 See things from your customers' point of view
Without a customer perspective, a business satisfies only internal
demands. This is a recipe for 'going out of business' sales.
#5 Incorporate an outsider's opinion
Companies tend to see what they want to see,
not what they should see. Use a consultant or
a board of advisors to help shed light on what
the outside world thinks of your company.
